Curriculum for Excellence literacy

Sumdog Spelling can be used by teachers in Scotland to help keep pupils engaged, providing literacy and spelling activities to spot gaps in learning. Sumdog has worked with Scottish teachers to confirm that we align to the Curriculum for Excellence 1st and 2 nd levels. For an overview of our Sumdog Spelling, you can download our introduction to learn more about how we align with the CfE literacy benchmarks.

Pupil Equity Funding (PEF)

Almost every school in Scotland receives Pupil Equity Funding (PEF) from the government to enhance pupils’ education. Pupil Equity Funding is to support children from low-income households, but you can also use allocated PEF to purchase Sumdog to enable teachers to engage students in the classroom and at home. To find out more, read our guide to PEF and Sumdog.
