Sumdog, the Edinburgh-founded maths and spelling platform that has supported schools across Scotland for over a decade, has visited Braidbar Primary and Eaglesham Primary in East Renfrewshire to celebrate pupils who were crowned winners in a recent Sumdog maths contest.
The winning classes took part in the contest which took place from 21st to 27th November 2025, alongside thousands of learners from across East Renfrewshire. Over 180,000 maths questions were answered by 128 classes during the week. To recognise their fantastic achievement, members of the Sumdog team have been visiting the winning schools to present prizes and celebrate pupils’ success in special school assemblies.
During the visits, Sumdog staff, Priya and Cameron, awarded prizes to the winning class and second-place class in front of their peers, spoke to pupils about their achievements, and celebrated the hard work and enthusiasm shown throughout the contest. The assemblies gave pupils the chance to be recognised for their efforts and to share in the excitement of their success as a school.
“As a Scottish-founded company, it’s incredibly important to us to celebrate achievements in local schools,” said Priya Puri, School Success Manager at Sumdog. “We loved visiting schools in East Renfrewshire and seeing pupils feel proud of their hard work. Moments like these help build confidence and show children that maths can be fun and rewarding.”
Stuart Gordon, Digital Lead at Braidbar Primary school said, "Braidbar Primary were very lucky to have a visit from Sumdog today to celebrate the recent success of Primary 4 winning the East Renfrewshire competition.
