Benchmark Assessment with Sumdog: Identifying Core Numeracy Gaps

Establishing a shared understanding of pupil progress is essential for effective moderation and planning. This webinar explores how benchmark-style diagnostic assessments in Sumdog can be used to identify core numeracy gaps and support consistency across classes and stages. Participants will learn how to use Sumdog’s diagnostic data to build a clear picture of strengths and areas for development, enabling meaningful professional dialogue within and across teams.
The session will also demonstrate how consistent assessment data can support moderation, inform next steps and strengthen whole-school approaches to numeracy improvement.
To support implementation, participants will be set a short homework task to complete before the end of the school year. This will ensure benchmark assessments are in place and ready to support effective analysis and planning ready for back to school in August.
By the end of the webinar, school teams will be confident using shared Sumdog data to identify key gaps, support moderation and plan targeted next steps for the new session.
Evidence-Informed Numeracy Interventions: Supporting Professional Judgement
