Sumdog's live events cover a variety of topics for UK schools and are delivered by our expert training manager, Mara Young, an ex-primary school teacher. Whether you are new to Sumdog or an experienced Sumdog user we are sure you will get a lot from these live events.

Sumdog's live events give you insight into ways Sumdog can be used in school or at home. In each session there will be opportunities to ask our Sumdog expert questions.

  • how to quickly get started back on Sumdog after the holidays with class management
  • using Sumdog to get the children excited for the new academic year

Identifying and addressing gaps

 

By the end of the session you will have a clear understanding of:

  • how to use Sumdog maths tools to address gaps or areas that need further practice

 

Using our informal tests to assess your pupils

 

By the end of the session you will have a clear understanding of:

  • using Sumdog's pre and post-tests to measure progress and support planning
  • how to use Sumdog's assessment tool to create check-ups to adjust the learning and inform next steps

By the end of the session you will have a clear understanding of:

  • setting maths and spelling practice for in class or at home to reflect what you are currently teaching

  • ways to use Sumdog’s tools to set revision work for maths or spelling

Engaging pupils in maths

 

By the end of the session you will have a clear understanding of:

  • how to use Sumdog’s rewards to motivate pupils
  • how Sumdog has built-in ways to encourage the little and often maths or spelling practice
