With a passion for education, gaming, and (of course!) dogs, I was drawn to Sumdog because of its mission to support schools and help close the attainment gap. Hearing directly from teachers about the difference Sumdog makes in their classrooms has been incredibly rewarding. Plus, getting to test every Sumdog game? Challenge accepted!
Over the past few months, I've had the pleasure of working with amazing colleagues like Sophie to support schools in England participating in a new study assessing Sumdog’s impact on maths attainment. I've also been collaborating with Angus local authority, working with teachers to deliver training sessions and organising their very own bespoke Sumdog contest — where one lucky class will take home a trophy! A major highlight was meeting the full Rev-Ops team in December at our annual conference in Cambridge. It was an invaluable experience, allowing me to connect with the wider team, set exciting goals, and deepen my understanding of the incredible work happening across Sumdog.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue building relationships with teachers, learning even more about our product, and getting out to visit schools and meet students face-to-face. Delivering the Sumdog trophy to the winning class in Angus is just the beginning!
